Typical
Day for a Project Administrator
8:30AM "There is not typical day. The first thing I do every morning
at the office is grab a cup of coffee and check my emails and calendar
on the computer for status updates."
9:15AM "I talk with several team members and learn that there has
been some miscommunication on several tasks.
9:30AM "A meeting is called. The confusion is cleared up and everyone
knows exactly what needs to be done.
10:00AM "It's quiet. Everyone is working hard to get the project
done. Management will probably throw a big party for the team if
the project is finished ahead of time and under budget. It feels
good to be part of a winning team!"
12:00PM "Lunch. The team orders takeout from the local Chinese
restaurant. Chicken & broccoli, wonton soup, egg rolls, and
lo mein hits the spot."
1:00PM "Everybody settles back at their desk and surfs the internet
for a little bit. It's hard to go back to work when you enjoyed
a really good meal."
1:30PM "The vice president stops by to tell everyone they are doing
a great job. Keep it up and there is a good chance there will be
a nice party with great food."
2:00PM "The team is working hard. Who doesn't want a great party
with awesome food?"
4:30PM "It's almost time to leave for the day. People want to beat
the rush hour traffic home."
5:30PM "I love my job but I like tonight's dinner more:)"
7:00PM "Additional education is not required but I am taking college
classes to advance my career and increase my salary.."
